Using this Theme Exchange
This area is for sharing Compendium themes.
These will only work with Compendium 2.0 Beta1 +
On the left hand side you will see a menu. If you are not logged in you will only have Browse Themes available. If you are logged in you will also have access to the Share Themes option.
Browse Themes lists any themes that have been uploaded to this exchange.
You can download a zip file of the theme data which you can then use in Compendium. Once downloaded you need to unzip the theme file into your compendium home directory.
At its most basic a theme will be a System/ini folder with specific graphics and default data and system.ini setting. It may also include a specific default stencil set and a special icon Skin and a new System/resources/Format.properties file.
WARNING: If you install a Theme, previous files will be over written. Always check which files the the zip contains and will replace before unzipping it. You may wish to copy your existing Compendium folder first, in case you decide to rollback the theme.
You will need to start/restart Compendium after you have added the new themes files.
Share Themes takes you to a page where you can upload a theme you want to share. This upload requires a zip file at System folder level if the files and folders you want to share.
This area is your upload management area. It will always list the themes you have uploaded and also it will allow you to edit the title and description, or delete a theme you have uploaded. |
